Abstract

This project examines the link between female reproductive hormones and the use of illicit substances using peer-reviewed research and anecdotal report. Unpredictable levels of estrogen, progesterone, luteinizing hormone, and follicle stimulating hormone result in increased drug-seeking behavior and difficulty in predicting fertile periods for women who do not desire pregnancy.
