Abstract

Surgeons put their own physical and psychological health at risk while exposed to elevated temperatures in the operating room whereby heat is trapped under impervious protective surgical gowns increasing body temperature, altering thermal comfort, thus threatening cognitive performance. Cognitive performance of surgeons in real-time operations remains largely unexplored in literature.
