Reduction of workplace discord through self-awareness and personal de-escalation
Abstract
This quality intervention employs mindfulness and de-escalation skills to counter the issue of workplace violence. We evaluated elements that impact work-group psychological safety including the predisposing and precipitating factors that increase stress and discord between co-workers. This level of aggressive behavior can lead to lateral violence and bullying.
