Abstract

Internationally, Trinidad and Tobago ranked among the countries with the most prevalent number of cases of diabetes a chronic and potentially life-threatening disease. While effective self-management is fundamental to achieve optimum control of blood sugar only few individuals engaged in the recommended levels of diabetes self-management practices.
