Abstract
Learn how to augment staffing during a pandemic surge. Through tiered surge staffing based on The Society of Critical Care Medicine and AACN guidelines, a rapid cross training across geographical locations and care settings. Staffing surge requirements experienced during COVID 19 were unlike any seen before and impacted different geographical and care settings. Preparation and implementation occurred in summer 2020.
