Abstract

Recent social distancing measures have changed how nurses are caring for their own mental wellbeing. With many gyms and yoga studios closed, virtual social networks paired with yoga and mindfulness education have helped nurses normalize their experiences, learn healthy coping skills and find social connection during the COVID pandemic. In recent months nurses have endured not just social isolation due to quarantine measures but also increased work-related stress. Technology has proven to be a powerful tool in creating a virtual community centered on yoga and mindfulness to help support the mental health of nurses during a global pandemic.
