Abstract
Leadership is essential at the unit-level where interprofessional collaboration is critical to quality of care, workforce satisfaction, and employee retention. Shared governance councils are composed of engaged employees. Utilizing this resource, with transformational leadership, can directly impact the communication and trust perceived and support collaborative relationships between leaders and staff.
