Abstract

Parental verbal aggression against school personnel is increasing (May et al., 2010). In the school health suite, certified school nurses (CSN) often experience verbal aggression by parents when managing student outcomes. Simulation, an evidence based teaching strategy, provides an environment for the CSN to learn and practice de-escalation communication skills.
