Abstract
Qualitative research exploring female adjunct clinical instructors teaching male nursing students revealed an initial enthusiasm for gender diversity in nursing education. However, this is accompanied by underlying hesitancy and uncertainty regarding the teaching of male nursing students. Implications for practice to improve student success and patient outcomes are discussed.
