Abstract
This study demonstrates that factors such as compassion satisfaction, compassion fatigue, and death anxiety in critical care nurses can impact role ambiguity and role conflict. Ultimately, nurse dissatisfaction can impact hospital turnover and contribute to nurse shortages, as well as impact care for patients at end of life.
