Abstract
The unique skills of perioperative nurses can cause burnout and frustration because of high levels of stress in the OR. This presentation will share innovative advancement opportunities, such as an OR specific clinical ladder and a virtual training model, used to retain this exceptional group and keep them professional motivated. The unique talents of perioperative nurses needs to be recognized at the national level. We created two innovative and groundbreaking advancement opportunities, an OR specific clinical ladder and a virtual training model, exclusively for perioperative nurses to help retain them and assist in showcasing the exceptional work they do everyday.
