Abstract
Preceptorship is the cornerstone to a successful new graduate nurse. Effective preceptors must provide effective coaching and mentoring though authentic leadership to instill effective communication, true collaboration, and effective decision making. We present two case studies to which principles of coaching and mentoring will be applied.
