Abstract
Allowing critical care nurses to recognize factors impacting their work environment and professional quality of life has proven to lessen unpredictable events of compassion fatigue (CF). There is a positive correlation between identifying factors and job satisfaction, retention, and compassion satisfaction resulting in a better quality of care for patients.
