Abstract
Clinical experiences for students in health professions provide an opportunity for students to master skills, interact with patients, and collaborate with other healthcare providers. However, students can experience identity-based patient bias in which patients exhibit discriminatory behaviors towards healthcare professionals that can negatively affect learning, the therapeutic relationship, and wellness.
