Abstract

Nurses play a crucial role in preventing "failure to rescue" critically ill patients through early recognition, escalation of care, and implementing early medical treatment. Strategies such as early warning scores, structured communication and teamwork deviate the discourse from failure to rescue to processes in nursing practice of good catch events.
