Abstract
Nursing students in the clinical setting practiced centering during three successive weeks. Centering, through pausing, contemplation and intentional breathing, is a way to live Watson's (2018) Caritas Process 1 of cultivating loving-kindness and equanimity and Caritas Process 2 of being authentically present.
