Abstract
With workplace violence at epidemic proportions, understanding experiences of nurse victims of assault, is a priority. In-depth interviews obtained and analyzed, focused on understanding. We learned "trauma is a patient predator" and the stories revealed themes of Wounded Healer to Walking Wounded, Betrayal, Recovery and opportunities to better support staff.
