Abstract

African American women experience higher rates of maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity compared to White women. The purpose of this integrative review was to identify the factors that contribute to racial and ethnic disparities and place African American Women at increased risk pregnancy-related mortality and severe pregnancy complications.
