Abstract
A team approach to improve children's fitness and nutrition, SNACK was developed to decrease childhood obesity and Type 2 diabetes in two urban elementary schools with a childhood obesity rate of 49%. A coordinated school health approach increases the positive impact on students, schools, and communities.
