Abstract
This qualitative research study explored the perceptions of a sample of novice nurses regarding how their educational experiences prepared them to enter the nursing workforce. A variety of socialization strategies will be presented for use by nurse leaders to better prepare graduate nurses to successfully transition into professional nursing practice.
