Maternal Health in Adoptive Mothers
Abstract
This study provides participants with an understanding of the experiences of nonbirth lesbian mothers during their first year of motherhood. This perspective has been virtually absent in the literature. This understanding will encourage culturally competent care to lesbian mothers and their families. Implications for practice and scholarship will be discussed.
