Abstract
Undergraduate nursing programs prepare graduates to provide quality compassionate care. Nurses deliver care to patients from diverse ethnicities, orientations and backgrounds which influence their needs. Teaching and learning strategies that promote the development of a social justice perspective will support graduates in delivering quality compassionate care to their future patients.
