Abstract
Anxiety is common psychiatric symptom secondary to life-threatening disease. Conventional pharmacological treatment of anxiety in this population is ineffective, subsequently paving the way for studies exploring alternative treatment options. A literature review is conducted exploring the efficacy of psychedelics in the treatment of anxiety in adults with life-threatening diseases.
