Abstract
Brain stem strokes comprise approximately 10% of all strokes, are often in younger populations, and are commonly misdiagnosed. The proposed BeFASSTT acronym addresses the knowledge gap of pain and temperature sensory deficits that are characteristic of a lower brainstem infarct, as noted in this case study.
