Increasing staff retention and employee engagement through pediatric boot camp

Abstract

Pediatric Boot Camp is a five day, focused educational experience regarding care needs of the pediatric patient, unit policies, procedures and skill sets needed to care for a pediatric patient successfully. Graduate nurses are educated via didactic, visual, scenario and skill check off methods.
