Abstract

This study aimed to elucidate the aspects of engagement in learning activities of newly graduated nurses. Semi-structured interviews with 16 newly graduated nurses was analyzed and qualitatively and descriptively. Based on the contents of interview, four core categories were generated: "Behavioral engagement," " Emotional engagement," "Cognitive engagement," and "Agentic engagement."
