Abstract

Clear conceptualization of new nurses' EBP knowledge is needed to address concerns about inadequate EBP in nursing. This hybrid concept analysis revealed a gap between existing conceptualizations and new nurses' understandings of EBP knowledge, and shaped a new conceptual definition. The findings illuminate opportunities for tailoring interventions directed at EBP.
