Abstract

Nurses working in low and middle income settings are frequently the lynchpin between health facilities and the communities that they serve. As we move into the 2020 WHO designated year of the nurse it is essential that nurses have ready access to evidence, just in time learning opportunities and consultative relationships. Jhpiego through its leadership of the USAID Maternal Child Survival Project mPowering Frontline Health Workers program will share key lessons on nurse access to smart phones, their interest in using these devices to make these key connections and their digital literacy in the low and middle income countries that we have worked.
