Abstract

A school of nursing led initiative in Uganda, partnering with a local non-governmental agency (NGO) successfully trained community health workers on blood pressure screening and healthy lifestyle education and referral to local health centers for treatment. Successful monitoring of this program, with the NGO hypertension control liaison helps guarantee sustainability.
