Abstract

A study was conducted to identify and describe state regulation requirements for psychiatric technicians/aides in the United States as a first step in examining staffing in acute psychiatric hospitals. A discussion of these findings and their implications for nurse leaders and policymakers in the U.S. and globally will be presented.
