Abstract

Does your organization engage employees, providers, volunteers, and all others within the organization? Is there a strong sense of pride and a spirit of fellowship? Do your employees have a commitment to the values and culture of your organization? Are you able to maintain this during this time of tumultuous change? Authors Joe Tye and Dr. Bob Dent discuss how to do this by providing the right tools for your healthcare setting.

Bob Dent, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, CENP, FACHE, is Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer of Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas. He has served in leadership roles for many regional and national organizations, including most recently as 2018 President of the American Organization of Nurse Executives. Joe Tye, MHA, MBA is Chief Executive Officer and Head coach of Values Coach Inc., a company he founded in 1994 following a career in healthcare administration that included stints as Chief Operating Officer of two large community teaching hospitals.
