Abstract
Discussion and demonstration of creative teaching strategies and tools utilized for remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. These strategies allowed for instructional consistency in promoting hands-on deliberate practice to build familiarity and comfort with specific nursing skills while maintaining the rigor expected from an accredited School of Nursing.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Understand steps taken to develop effective virtual deliberate hands-on nursing skills practices and testing experiences to maintain the rigor of face-to-face instruction
2. Recognize practice and testing experiences utilizing a platform such as Zoom™assit in obtaining required clinical hours per University standards and yield similar results to face-to-face testing
3. Identify the effectiveness of virtual deliberate hands-on nursing skills practices and testing experiences for students who may be unable to attend if appropriate tools are provided
