COVID-19 Resource: Expecting the unexpected: Transition to practice in the time of COVID-19

Abstract

The 2020 graduating class will forever hold a collective place in our nursing hearts. Not only have you finished your academic and clinical programs during challenging circumstances, you will also be entering the profession during a time of crisis and uncertainty. You may be filled with excitement at joining the workforce in a time of great need, but also filled with fear and worry, not knowing what to expect as you move to the front lines of healthcare. The purpose of this webinar is to explore transition to practice expectations for our new graduates during this pandemic―from licensure and job prospects to orientation and residencies.
