COVID-19 Resource: Nurturing the emotional well-being of our caregivers during the COVID-19 response
Abstract
Webinar Details: The emotional scars left by this pandemic will be felt for years to come. Our primary focus as healthcare leaders will eventually shift from the physical safety aspect of care to an empathic emotional approach to recovery for all caregivers involved in the pandemic response. This presentation will provide a three step approach to ensuring emotional agility, giving you easy to use steps to not only care for yourself but also care for those who have dedicated themselves to care for their patients during this very difficult time.
Learning Outcomes:
- The learner will be able to define the current physical and emotional challenges that healthcare workers are currently facing during this pandemic.
- The learner will be able to articulate the 5Cs of crisis leadership and apply the concepts to their daily practice.
- The learner will be able to identify the warning signs of caregiver emotional distress and utilize support therapies to help caregivers cope post pandemic.
