Abstract
The Institute of Medicine (IOM) report, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health (IOM, 2010), recommended an increase nursing presence in board service to address healthcare issues and influence change within the healthcare system. Thus, the purpose of the project was to create, design, implement, and evaluate a nurse-to-nurse mentoring program (RNmentor2mentor) for nurses in the state of Michigan aimed at increasing the number of nurses serving on boards.
