Abstract

The two-fold purpose of this study was to compare health care provider current practice patterns for patients with Type 2 Diabetes in a primary care setting to the standards of care defined by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and to establish baseline clinical outcomes for patients with Type 2 Diabetes. The study had a descriptive retrospective design that reviewed 250 charts of patients seen during the period of January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2004.
