Abstract

The purpose of this basic qualitative study was to investigate how the novice adjunct nursing faculty, with 0 to 3 years' experience, described their preparation to teach nursing. The expert clinician's transition from clinical practice to academia induces much trepidation about the modicum of preparation for the complexed, specialized educator role.
