Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between financial stress factors and psychological factors on self-management outcomes (glycemic control [HbA1c] and diabetes-related quality of life [DQoL]) in emerging adults ages 18-25 with type 1 diabetes (T1D) during the transition from pediatric to adult diabetes care. A descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional study design was employed. Emerging adults enrolled in the T1D Exchange Clinic Registry were recruited via email.
