Abstract

This project explored the relationship between nurse job satisfaction following the initiation of a shared governance communication framework in a Birth Center in a small Minnesota hospital. Shared governance is a communication framework where frontline nursing staff were involved with the hospital nurse leadership team in a unit-based decision-making process that impacted their daily work.
