Abstract

There is an increase in Assisted Living Facilities (ALF's) throughout the United States that has been coupled with residents that have increasingly complex conditions leading to unanticipated problems related to poor medication management (Woods, Guifang, Hawsook, & Phillips, 2010). The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) provides the best practice guidelines for licensed Type "A" ALF in Texas and for this clinical project.
