Abstract
Research shows that many providers feel uncomfortable initiating weight discussions related to fear of sounding judgemental and inexperience in weight counseling. This leads to the failure of healthcare providers to intervene before weight issues become a greater diagnosis. The primary objective for this project is to determine if a screening tool aids providers in initiating weight discussions with patients.
