Abstract
The health system is becoming increasingly community based and wellness focused to keep people healthy rather than treating them after a problem has been aroused. The population at large is more aware of health issues and the consequences of unhealthy behaviors. These factors have created new demands on today's health care professionals in general and on community health nurses in particular in order to analyze and address client's interest, needs, and beliefs (Stanhope & Lancaster, 2016). Community health nursing is an exciting, challenging, and changing field of nursing which integrates all areas of nursing practice and public health knowledge in a creative and independent way of application (Stanhope & Lancaster, 2016). Learning in practice settings is invaluable for student nurses that is why placements accounts for 50% of the nursing curriculum requirements (Henderson, 2011).
