Abstract

The purpose of providing education and training to staff with respect to educating patients greater than 65 years of age was to effectively improve staff and patients’ knowledge of preventing urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Theoretical Framework: The two theoretical frameworks utilized included Kotter Change Management Model and The Kurt Lewin’s change model. Both of these theorists supported the need for successful change to improve patient outcomes.
