Abstract

Perinatal depression is one of the most common complications in the perinatal period. Key considerations in perinatal depression include risk factors, screening, treatment and resources . Evidence-based programs assisting frontline providers in providing screening and direct treatment to their patients have shown to be effective in removing barriers of mental health utilization. Regional and national resources can aide in perinatal depression management.
