Abstract

This quantitative quality improvement project aimed to assess the effectiveness of implementing the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) during the prenatal period in an obstetrical clinic in Memphis, TN. The primary research question was to investigate whether prenatal screening for postpartum depression (PPD) using the EPDS is effective in identifying at-risk individuals and improving maternal mental health outcomes.
