Abstract

There are a plethora of health effects connected to climate change's impacts on weather, food, water, air, heat, vectors, allergens, and more. As a trusted voice, nurses are in an opportune position to advocate for climate action and its related impacts on health. Whilst, the topic of climate change should be integrated more consistently through curricula for nurses. With that in mind, The Nurses Climate Challenge, a campaign of the ANHE and Healthcare Without Harm, was launched in 2018. Its initial aim of engaging 50,000 nurses was met, and the initiative is being transferred to ANHE this month.
