Abstract
With an increasing number of patients being diagnosed with sepsis, there was a need for increased awareness, improved educational strategies, and updated initiatives at a division level. With the goal to reduce patient mortality and improve sepsis bundle compliance, this division developed and implemented a specific provider order set for sepsis and septic shock based on the Surviving Sepsis Campaign Guidelines.
