Abstract

Innovative frameworks are not consistently utilized for problem solving and increasing engagement. Barriers to innovative thinking have been identified due to lack of knowledge and direction. Innovative models (linear, technology push, market pull, phase gate, and degrees of innovation) offer a unique perspective for generating ideas when working collaboratively with teams. Idea generation attributes to team building when new groups are formed or when new ideas need to be generated for a new direction. It also increases engagement of the team and promotes evolvement of the product or project to avoid remaining stagnant. Nursing professional development practitioners require tools to engage groups during presentations as well. There are multiple strategies and platforms that can be utilized for maximum effectiveness. Color psychology can be aligned with visual presentations to capture the audience while focused activities can be incorporated with groups to generate new directions.
