Abstract

Patient falls with injuries (FWIs) in the hospital are a serious risk. The Joint Commission reports that 63% of the 465 FWIs reported since 2009 led to death. In our emergency department (ED), we aimed to reduce falls with increased bundle compliance by expanding the role of volunteers.
