Abstract
Nurses caring for patients with serious illness must take care of themselves in order to be able to care for others. The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged nurses in ways they have never faced before. Taking care of oneself is essential to preventing compassion fatigue, burnout and secondary stress syndrome that has affected nurses during the pandemic. This self-help document provides guidance for physical and spiritual well-being.
